Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Damaj leads Veos Pharmaceuticals, Inc., with responsibility for corporate strategy, capital formation, commercial execution and oversight of its Consumer Health, Agricultural Science and Air Filtration platforms. He brings more than 25 years of experience building and leading biotechnology and life-science businesses, including public-company leadership.
He is President of Veos Pharmaceuticals, S.L., the Spanish operating business established in 2022, which develops and commercializes consumer health products and nature-derived agricultural and air-filtration platforms. He has also served as Managing Partner of Veos Ventures, S.L., an investment and company-building business that merged into Veos Pharmaceuticals, S.L. in June 2026.
Dr. Damaj serves as President and Chairman of Recycap Technologies, S.L., a business developing technologies for recycling used aluminum coffee capsules. His responsibilities across these businesses include strategic direction, commercialization, financing and partnership development.
Previously, he served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Innovus Pharmaceuticals, a consumer health company acquired by Aytu BioPharma in 2020. Following the acquisition, he led Aytu’s Consumer Healthcare Division. Earlier, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Apricus Biosciences and co-founded and led Bio-Quant, a life-science services company.
His earlier career included research and drug-development work involving Pfizer, Genentech, Pharmacopeia and Tanabe, now Mitsubishi Tanabe. His company-building record includes seven companies founded, participation in three public-company introductions, more than $500 million raised and more than $1 billion in commercial partnerships and transactions.
Dr. Damaj holds a Ph.D. in Immunology and Microbiology from Université Laval, completed postdoctoral training in molecular oncology at McGill University and attended executive education at Stanford University. He has authored more than 120 scientific publications. View public publications →
